Hi All - Isn't it amazing who finds us - thought you might be interested in this. Cheers Jan.
You look like you’re onto a good thing!
We’re always looking for good fresh meat: lamb, goat or beef for use in our rapidly becoming famous pies.
We’d be happy to swap it for Fish & Chips, pies or bags of rice or flour, that sort of thing.
We like the meat already cut.

Hi Jan
Things been real busy for us lately, thought i would check emails on saturday night to find out about the tea party. Then read your message about the date change, hope it all went well. Still dont have much to swap, but the garden is keeping us fed on a few different sorts of vegies.

New Look Blog for Poole St Food Exchange
Hi - I was talking to Zane last week and he mentioned that he couldn't leave a comment on the website and I realised that when we start producing food this might cause some difficulty - not to mention the fact that I if I got busy and couldn't check the site every day - peoples fresh produce might sit around and become stale etc. So Kate figured out how to create a new site for our Food Exchange that you can comment on. You can get to it on http://www.poolestreetexchange.blogspot.com/ if you would like to comment and/or post some news, click on 'comments' underneath my posting, a form will appear with a box for you to write in, scroll down to where it's says choose an identity and fill in your name where is says Name/URL. This will let people know who has posted the comment, then click on the orange box which says 'publish your comment'. Alternatively you can get to the site http://www.motuekanewsonline.co.nz/ and choose Food Exchange and you will get this page - just follow the above instructions and you should be fine.
We had a great day on Saturday at our 'tea party' and had some new people come along - it was great to meet Mick from 49 and Frank and Linda from No. 73.
I asked people to give me their email ads if they had one and a phone no. as well as a list of what they had planted - so here goes:
Zane and Nancy from No. 5 - Email Zane1@vodafone.net.nz - Silverbeet, Kuma Kuma, Spinach, Cherie Tomatoes and flowers.
Nick and Sue from No. 18 Ph. 528-6646 Cell 021-1340282 -
Email nickjmason80@gmail.com Brocolli, cauliflower, spuds and lettuce.
Matthew at No. 19 smat@orcon.net.nz - lemons
Eleanor and Glen No. 30A Ph. 528-0189 - organic/biodynamic advice and spare veges
Ruth and Anna No. 23 Ph. 528-7682 - have not heard what they are producing!
Mick No. 49 027 3266901/027-3217527 email rmmotueka@gmail.com - great cucumbers!
Kate and Jan No. 58 Ph. 528-4724 email katjan@clear.net.nz - potatoes, corn, peas, beans, carrots, lettuce, spinach, cucumbers, zucchinis, peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, yams, lemons, plums, strawberries, raspberries, boysenberries, grapes and eggs.
Rita and Andrew No. 59 Ph. 528 5389 teejays@xtra.co.nz - have not heard what they are producing!
Chris and Caz No. 60 cgray@doc.govt.nz - goat meat, lettuce, tomatoes, spinach, beets, peppers and broccolli.
Ange and Craig No. 65 Ph. 528 8997 angandcraig@slingshot.co.nz - brussel sprouts, red cabbage, brocolli, gherkins, beans, tomatoes, spinach and lettuce.
Gayle No. 71 Ph. 528 7890 colin.gayle@xtra.co.nz - don't know what she is producing yet!
Frank and Linda No. 73 - corn, lettuce, tomatoes and pumpkin
Ian and Heather No. 87 whitehen@gmail.com - don't know they are producing yet!
That's all the info I have at the moment - although some of this was gained a couple of months ago so you'll have to post alternative info to update. I guess we also have to remember that nobody will know what is excess until the time comes - but it dosen't hurt to ask.
I hope you all have a great Xmas if I don't see you before then - Cheers Jan
